Cedar & Coin ("the app") is a private household finance tool operated by HK Applications LLC of Wichita, Kansas, United States. By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms.
Cedar & Coin is a personal ledger and planning tool. You enter, import, or optionally connect the financial information you authorize, and the app organizes, charts, and summarizes it. A single plan covers one person. A household plan covers two people who share a household in the app; it stops covering the second person when they leave that household.
Nothing in the app is licensed financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Market data, technical indicators, and AI-generated summaries (including "Ask Cedar" and "Tape Read") are educational information about your own numbers and public market history. Past behavior of any market proves nothing about the future. Decisions you make with your money are yours alone; consult a licensed professional for advice.
You are responsible for keeping your password and recovery codes private. Cedar will never ask you to send a bank password, full card number, card security code, or government ID by email or message. Payment happens only on Stripe's hosted pages (Stripe Checkout and the Stripe customer portal), and optional institution connection, when it is offered, only through Plaid Link. Neither runs through Cedar directly.
Your financial entries belong to you. You can export everything from inside the app at any time, and you can request full deletion of your account and data by emailing digest@cedarcoinco.com. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Don't attempt to access other users' data, probe or overload the service, or use it for anything unlawful. Accounts that do may be removed.
When billing began. Billing began on October 14, 2026. Every account whose free trial began before then received a fresh 30-day trial counted from that date, so no one who joined during the beta lost trial days.
Plans and prices. There are two plans, priced in US dollars: a single plan at $6.99 a month or $59 a year, which covers one person, and a household plan at $9.99 a month or $89 a year, which covers two people who share a household in the app. Taxes are added where the law requires. Prices can change; a change applies to you from your next renewal, and we will email you at least 30 days before it does.
Free trial. Every new account starts with a 30-day free trial with full access. No payment card is needed to start it. If you subscribe during the trial, your first charge is made when the trial ends, and cancelling before then costs nothing. In the trial's last two days, the first charge is made when you subscribe.
Renewal and payment. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, monthly or yearly, until you cancel. Payment is processed by Stripe on Stripe's hosted pages; Cedar never sees or stores your card number. If a payment fails, you keep full access for 7 days while Stripe retries and you update your card. After that your ledger becomes read-only, and nothing is deleted: you can still sign in, view, export, and delete your account. If the retries run out, the subscription is cancelled.
Cancelling. Cancel any time under Settings → Plan & billing → Manage billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, and your access continues until then. Free-trial days you have not used are never taken away by a cancellation.
Refunds. A yearly plan is refunded in full if you ask within 14 days of the charge, and is not refunded after that. Monthly plans are not refunded. To ask for a refund, email digest@cedarcoinco.com from your account email; refunds go back to the card that paid. Where the law gives you stronger rights, those apply.
Changing plans. You can switch between the monthly and yearly options, and between the single and household plans, under Manage billing. A switch is prorated and charged at once. Two members of one household who each pay can move onto one household plan the same way; the plan that is ended runs to the end of what was paid.
After a subscription ends. Whether it ends by cancellation, by a failed payment, or at the end of a trial you did not extend, your data stays in your account, read-only, and sign-in, export, and account deletion remain available. A future native app may use RevenueCat for in-app purchases; that is not available yet.
The app is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. HK Applications LLC is not liable for losses arising from use of the app, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
These terms may be updated as the app evolves; the effective date above will change when they do. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
